They’re having a hit of a tough time in Paris recently. It’s all to do with those crazy British designers who are bemusing the world with op-art fashion and mini-skirts. Jacques Esterel, one of the leading Paris designers, thought up one answer to the question of competing in eye-catching fashion with British op-art. This was what he called his “Curtain Bikini.” It’s all hung on cords. The pieces of material are attached by curtain rings and can be drawn to (or aside) according to the wearer’s wishes or according to the temperature.
